Job Description

We are currently seeking experienced and motivated Electricians and Electrical Supervisors with current Western Power Recipient in Charge (RiC) and Substation Entry certification to join our growing Bunbury team. These full-time roles will be responsible for delivering high-voltage and substation maintenance, testing, and installation work.

For Electricians:

  • Perform electrical maintenance, testing, and minor project work in substations and on HV/LV assets.

  • Work under GTS and Western Power safety procedures, including Permit to Work, LOTO, and access control.

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and specifications.

  • Accurately complete test sheets, reports, and timesheets using GTS systems.

  • Liaise with supervisors, engineers, and clients on job progress and technical issues.

  • Ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained and calibrated.

For Supervisors:

  • Lead onsite work crews and ensure safe, compliant execution of HV electrical works.

  • Coordinate job planning, work packs, risk assessments, and toolbox meetings.

  • Act as point of contact for clients and site representatives.

  • Verify and review test results, work documentation, and daily reports.

  • Mentor and support field electricians and apprentices.

  • Manage project timelines, materials, and manpower to ensure efficient delivery.

Desired Skills and Experience

Essential Criteria

  • WA Electrical Workers Licence

  • Western Power RiC (Recipient in Charge) certification

  • Western Power Substation Entry certification (current)

  • Minimum 2 years of HV/LV electrical experience (5+ for Supervisors)

  • Demonstrated experience in substation, network, or utility environments

  • Current C-Class Driver’s Licence

  • White Card and First Aid/CPR

  • Strong understanding of safety systems and critical risk protocols
