Job Description
GTS is currently seeking Electricians & Supervisors to join our Technical Services department in Bunbury. Applicants that are Western Power inducted and have an RiC certification are strongly encouraged to apply. We are offering permanent, full-time positions that offer the opportunity to work on diverse projects and develop your technical skills. As an Electrician or Supervisor at GTS, you will be responsible for:
Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment
Performing high voltage (HV) testing and maintenance
Troubleshooting electrical issues and implementing effective solutions
Ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations
Collaborating with other team members to complete projects efficiently
Providing technical support and guidance when necessary
Documenting work activities and maintaining accurate records
The main tasks of this role include:
Conducting electrical installations according to specifications and regulations
Carrying out routine maintenance on electrical systems and equipment
Executing HV testing procedures accurately and safely
Responding promptly to electrical emergencies and resolving issues effectively
Prepare detailed technical reports with recommendations
Interpretation of analytical data
Participating in regular safety inspections and ensuring adherence to safety protocols
Coordinating with project managers to meet project deadlines and objectives
Providing training or mentoring to junior technicians as required

Academic or Trade Qualifications:
Current WA Full Electrical License
Western Power RiC
Western Power Substation Entry
Current LVR/CPR
Must be legally able to work in Australia
Manual Australian drivers license
Work Experience and Skills:
Minimum 2 years post trade experience
Strong problem solving skills
Ability to work independently
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Manual Handling (can be obtained after employment)
